Spent Friday night donating my time for a fundraiser for MND research and it was well worth it!
This was a first for me and I really didn’t know what to expect; I certainly didn’t expect the 600-strong guests in the event nor that the plan we were given went out the door as soon as the guests arrived. I was meant to show guests their seats but when the people started rolling in, one of the stalls that were selling cubic zirconia earrings was undermanned. But I certainly didn’t mind as we all had to chip in where required.
I just checked my feed and there doesn’t seem to be the same amount of new feeds coming in like there used to (used to being, at least 3 years ago).
There’s definitely some drop-off but I can’t quantify it.
Checking my own behaviour, I rarely WordPress which is kind of sad. I used to write quite often, but I’ve consumed more recently and I feel that if I continue on this trend, I’ll lose the skill.
Well, this was definitely not planned. It was one of those things that just kinda happened…you get into a routine, you stick with it, you keep going, before you know it you got 3 months, half a year, 3 quarters…then BOOM! One whole year of the gym!
How does something like this ‘kinda‘ happen? To be fair, the gym was no accident – it was definitely by design. It started a while back, which then progressed to my last post, and ended up right here on this post.
If you have been following my blog for a while, you might have noticed that I have been conspicuously away for long periods of time. I have been busy developing the Collective Network— a network of creative individuals.
We first started with having photography as a common interest and sharing our snaps on Instagram. Now that we’re a month-and-a-bit old, we actually discovering a few more things about ourselves; we enjoy creating all sorts of things.
I cannot believe that I have been at work for 2 weeks now, and I have been hitting things quite hard both at work and with a new initiative. The Christmas holidays feels like a distant memory..
Thank goodness for all these great pics I managed to take while I was on holidays.
The Gold Coast
There is a reason why they call this place ‘The Gold Coast‘ – and the pictures prove it.
Temperate at your feet
My days were filled with early morning swims between 7-8 am and believe it or not, there were already a few people going for a swim. The water and the morning sun made the swim just right.
