No I haven’t tried it and like most, I can’t get over the ‘consumer disgust‘.
I’m sure they’re full of protein and there’s an abundant supply out there but I guess I have been conditioned to look at insects as pests rather than a food source – and a rather dirty pest at that. It’s quite a natural reaction for me to either squirm, hit, shoo or even run depending on the type of bug that I encounter. At the end of the day, this is what I have been conditioned with as a child which is difficult to undo.
But, never say never.
Anyone tried any of these as a food source or even had some out of curiosity?
