It started around 1995; I noticed the slow growth in the tattoo trend. Perhaps it had a lot to do with the popularity of the Chicago Bulls and Dennis Rodman. Then all of a sudden, there was a plethora of celebs from Mel B, David Beckham to countless rock stars like Anthony Kiedis and company that pushed the tattoos are cool image on to us.
Now the problem is, if you do have one and have a white collar job, how do you hide them? Assuming you want to hide them for starters.
If you are in the former category, you can remove them via laser surgery of course. But if you still love your old tatts, you can also hide them with a smart suit.
If you’re in the latter category then beware. Even though we would like to think that it is culturally acceptable in this day and age to wear your tattoo proud, the truth is you will never be able to control how other people perceive you. If you value your job and your career then best hide it.
And if they see you on the weekend then that’s really out of your control. You should not feel imprisoned by who you really are.
